Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival / Negombo
Transfer: Arranged flight (self-booked)
Travel Time: ~20 minutes
Welcome to Sri Lanka! Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, your chauffeur guide will greet you and escort you to your hotel in Negombo for check-in and rest.
Note: Buddhism is deeply respected in Sri Lanka. Avoid disrespectful acts such as displaying Buddha tattoos, climbing statues, or consuming alcohol in temples.

Day 2 - Negombo - Kithulgala - Nuwara Eliya
Travel Time: ~5 hours by private vehicle
After breakfast, head to Kithulgala, a lush, rainforest-covered town in western Sri Lanka, famous for white-water rafting on the Kelani River, where the Oscar-winning film The Bridge on the River Kwai was shot.
Experience a 1-hour flatwater rafting session (Grade 1) suitable for beginners.
Continue to Nuwara Eliya, often called Little England. Visit a tea plantation and factory to see how world-renowned Ceylon Tea is made. Learn about tea-picking, taste a fresh brew, and discover the story of Sir Thomas Lipton's tea legacy.
Check into your hotel in Nuwara Eliya and unwind in the cool mountain air.

Day 3 - Nuwara Eliya - Kandy
Travel Time: ~3 hours by private vehicle
After breakfast, travel to Kandy, the last royal capital of Sri Lanka. En route, visit another tea estate to deepen your understanding of tea production.
In Kandy, visit a batik factory to witness the ancient art of fabric painting and dyeing. Try your hand at block printing with guidance from local artisans.
Later, enjoy a leisure walk around Kandy Lake, built in 1807 by King Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe. Learn about its fascinating history, including how it served as the royal bathing spot and later a British ammunition store.
In the evening, watch a vibrant Kandyan cultural dance show at the Rangahala Auditorium, followed by a visit to the Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa) - Sri Lanka's most sacred Buddhist temple. Witness the Pooja Ceremony, a deeply spiritual ritual featuring traditional drumming and chanting.

Day 4 - Kandy - Colombo - Departure
